Who are we?


To become a specialist hub for the creative economy through the development of sustainable creative industry SMMEs, innovative entrepreneurs and strategic thought leadership.


The South African Creative Industries Incubator (SACII) is an experienced business development and incubation entity that has been working in the creative SMME environment for the past eight years, with a particular focus on the creative industries. 

Township-based creative hub providing business incubation, acceleration and support, technical skills training, and production facilities and equipment to township-based creative economy entrepreneurs. 

The strategic combination of these services is designed to culminate in leveraging content development, business growth, market access and job creation for creative industry entrepreneurs and practitioners. 

SACII has partnered extensively with both government and private sector entities to deliver tailored incubation and accelerator programmes for creative industry entrepreneurs to achieve SMME sustainability and market access in the creative economy.

Company Overview

SACII’s value proposition and purpose, is summarised in the hashtag: #NormalisingAccess, a slogan that defines the unique position that SACII plays in the South African creative sector. SACII intends to assist creative entrepreneurs with bridging the gap between their creative passion and  entrepreneurship through providing access to the best practice methods of managing a thriving creative business, access to production facilities, industry leaders and professional networks. Most importantly SACII seeks to democratise access to entrepreneurial funding as well as access to markets for locally produced creative products.
